Where the numbers come from
The wax density factors, the fragrance load ranges and the wick size tables are compiled from published supplier specifications and the ratios in common use among candle makers. They are starting points. Suppliers change their products, and two waxes sold under the same name can behave differently.
The fragrance load calculator shows the minimum, recommended and maximum percentage it uses for each wax type on the page itself. The wick size chart shows every value in its table. The wax calculator uses the density factors below, in ounces of wax per fluid ounce of container volume. Check any of them against your own supplier's data sheet before you commit to a batch.

This site does not run a laboratory or a candle studio, and no formula here has been through a testing programme of its own. Your own test burn is the final check on any number from this site.
